The equipment described MUST be commensurate with the equipment involved in the job task. If the specifications/ parameters are exceeded or there are any variations, this method cannot be used.

Note: Typically, the first step in determining PPE according to equipment type is to locate the task to be performed in NFPA 70E Table 130.5(C). This table indicates the likelihood of an arc hazard occurring during performance of the task (indicated by a Yes/No column). If the answer is "Yes," then locate the equipment type using this tool (or the NFPA 70E tables).
