Heavy-Duty Leather Gloves

>

Heavy-duty leather gloves must be made entirely of leather with a minimum thickness of 0.03 in. (0.7 mm). They should be either unlined or lined with non-flammable, non-melting fabrics. Although heavy-duty leather gloves are NOT arc-rated, gloves meeting these requirements have been shown to have ATPV values in excess of 10 cal/cm2 (41.9 J/cm2). Heavy-duty leather gloves only provide arc-flash protection. They offer no shock protection. If shock protection is required, rubber gloves must be used.
